I started working out with Geno about 2 years ago because I had some really bad back pain and wanted to fix it as well as become a stronger athlete since I knew I had to prepare for college sports. Throughout the time that I have spent with Geno, not only have I completely changed as an athlete, but my back pain has gone away. Once we fixed my back we focused more on getting me stronger so I could perform to the best of my abilities. We started off doing pretty basic workouts in order to get me prepared to handle the more complex lifting. One of the things that Geno does really well is making sure that you are prepared to move on to more intense training. It may take a while but that is because Geno is going to make sure that your body has the perfect movement, balance, form, etc., before moving on. Two years into training and now we are working on Olympic lifting and I never thought I would be able to do that. The process takes a while but in the end it is really rewarding to see all the progress you have made. I go to Geno’s usually twice a week and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. The training is so personalized for what you as an individual need, and Geno is one of the best guys I know. I also see the benefit of working out with him transition onto the field when I play. I’m a goalkeeper in soccer and working with him has helped me be more explosive and I am able to hit balls way further. Without Geno training me I would not have been able to reach the level of play. We have grown into really good friends as well, and as much as we mess with each other during training I am so thankful I am able to work with him. Even though I’m going away to college or wherever life may take me these next few years, whenever I come back to Gainesville I’m always going to make time to come and workout here, it’s simply the best. Even when I come in to train and I’m tired he knows how to motivate me to get the most out of my workout and push myself to be the best that I can. Thank you Geno for all the work you have put into me.
